“Welcome to Paradiso on Earth Spa. My name is Amelia, and I’m your hostess for today,” Amelia greeted. “Take off only as much clothing as you are comfortable removing. Please let your massage therapist know if you have any music choices you want to listen to while she massages you or if you would prefer to have her turn the music off. Some people like to talk during a massage, while others prefer to remain silent. Feel free to let your massage therapist know which you prefer.”

A petite redhead walked gracefully toward Melody.

“Hi, my name is Madeline, and I’m your massage therapist today,” Madeline introduced. “Please follow me.”

Madeline led Melody to a darkened room. Soft music was playing in the background. Burning lavender incense filled the room.

“I will be using a stress-relieving eucalyptus tea massage oil. Remember to breathe normally. Breathing helps assist the progress of relaxation. People often hold their breath when they feel anxious,” Madeline explained.

“I’ll do my best. I’m a bit nervous as I’ve never had a massage before,” Melody replied.

“Loosen your muscles and ease your mind. If you feel your thoughts or feelings are racing during the massage, try to quiet your mind and just follow my hands; focus on how the touch feels,” Madeline explained.

After the thirty-minute massages, the ladies were treated to a lunch of strawberry pecan salad and turkey sandwiches on Italian herb bread with iced tea. When lunch was over, the ladies had their manicures and pedicures done.
